Security
Met de oplossingen van xxter kunt u altijd rekenen op de laatste technieken op het gebied van informatiebeveiliging en privacy, zodat u met een gerust hart de uitgebreide mogelijkheden van huis- en kantoorautomatisering kunt ervaren. Alle communicatie voor de diensten en producten van xxter verlopen via betrouwbare, “end-to-end encrypted” beveiligde verbindingen en zijn daarnaast afgeschermd door wachtwoorden, die alleen bij u bekend zijn.
xxter Connect Service
Voor veilige toegang van buitenaf biedt xxter de Connect Service aan. Hiermee kunt u uw huisautomatisering en zelfs uw camerasystemen in huis beschikbaar maken van buitenaf, zonder dat deze direct toegankelijk hoeven zijn. Er is geen port-forwarding of andere externe toegang vereist. Hierdoor maken hackers geen kans en kunt u ook onderweg veilig gebruik maken van alle mogelijkheden. U kunt zelf aangeven welke interne systemen u extern beschikbaar wilt maken.
Het is ook mogelijk om toegang te verlenen aan de interne webconfiguratie van het xxter apparaat via de Connect Service. Hiermee kunt u, desgewenst, de installateur onderhoud laten plegen, zonder dat deze hiervoor bij u langs hoeft te komen. In een later stadium zullen we hier ook de mogelijkheid aan toevoegen voor externe programmering, zodat zelfs het onderhoud van de KNX-installatie mogelijk wordt via deze beveiligde verbinding.
De xxter Connect Service is een betaalde dienst, die u kunt aanschaffen via de Apple App Store of de Google Play Store. Het is ook mogelijk de dienst voor lange tijd af te kopen. De Connect Service is zeer eenvoudig in gebruik te nemen en biedt toegang tot 2 xxter apparaten voor alle mobiele apparaten die u heeft.
Indien u geen gebruik wenst te maken van de Connect Service, dan is het nog steeds mogelijk om op een veilige manier verbinding te maken met het xxter apparaat. De beveiligde applicatiepoort die hiervoor wordt gebruikt is eveneens met certificaten “end-to-end encrypted” beveiligd en vereist door u ingestelde (extra) wachtwoorden.
Extra beveiligingsopties
Met xxter is het ook mogelijk om lokale gebruikers toe te voegen en exact vast te leggen welke rechten de gebruiker heeft: welke bediening is toegestaan en welke instellingen er mogen worden ingezien of gewijzigd. Deze optie is ideaal voor grotere huishoudens, kantoorsituaties, of wanneer u gasten beschermde toegang wilt geven tot uw huis- of kantoorautomatisering.
Indien u gebruik maakt van stembediening, kunt u expliciet bepalen welke diensten u, onder welke voorwaarden, toegang geeft tot uw woning om deze te bedienen. Hiermee heeft u zelf in de hand of en wanneer Google en/of Amazon informatie mogen ontvangen over uw woning. Indien u gebruikt maakt van Apple HomeKit, dan garandeert Apple dat zij nooit toegang hebben tot uw gegevens of uw installatie.
xxter werkt continu aan verbeteringen en vernieuwingen van haar producten en diensten en maakt deze met regelmaat via gratis te installeren updates beschikbaar aan alle gebruikers. Daardoor bent u niet alleen vandaag, maar ook in de toekomst verzekerd van veilige en betrouwbare huis- en kantoorautomatisering.
Voor alle beveiligde verbindingen met uw huis- of kantoorinstallatie heeft u met xxter geen extra, vaak kostbare, apparatuur nodig. Deze diensten zijn standaard ingebouwd.

xxter Connect Service
To allow safe access from the outside, xxter offers the Connect Service. This allows you to use your home automation and even your internal camera systems when you are not at home, without the need for these systems to be directly accessible over the Internet. There is no port forwarding or other external access required. This means hackers will not be able to gain access, while you can safely use all your automation possibilities even when you are on the way. You can specify which internal systems you want to be accessible.
In the near future, it will also be possible to allow access to the internal web configuration of the xxter device, through the Connect Service. This allows the installer, if you want, to perform maintenance without the need for them to come by. In a later stage we will also add the possibility to allow external programming, allowing even the maintenance to your KNX installation through this secure connection.
The xxter Connect Service is a paid service, which you can purchase using the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. It is also possible to buy off this service for a long period of time. The Connect Service is very easy to set up and allows access to two separate xxter devices from all mobile devices you might have.
In case you do not want to use the Connect Service, it is still possible to securely connect to your xxter device. The secured application port that is used for the connection also relies on security certificates, is end-to-end encrypted and requires (additional) personal passwords.
Extra security features
With xxter you can also add local users and exactly configure which rights the user has: what components are allowed to control and which settings can be accessed or changed. This feature is ideal for larger households, office situations or when you want to provide restricted access for guests to your home or office automation..
In case you are using voice control, you can explicitly decide which services you want to allow access to your home and under which circumstances. This allows you to configure whether and when Google and/or Amazon may receive information about your home. When you are using Apple HomeKit, Apple guarantees they will never have access to your home data or your installation.
xxter continuously works on improvements and innovations for our products and services and regularly makes these available through free to install updates to all users. This ensures you are not only sure of a safe and reliable home and office automation today, but for the future as well.
For all these security features for your home or office installation you do not require any, often costly, additional equipment. All features are built-in by default.
